And FYI - it Is a 2018 return for the year ended Dec 31, 2018.  We don't do 2019 until next year.

You did not file a 2019 tax return.  No one has filed a 2019 return; 2019 returns will be filed in early 2020 when 2019 is over.  So you must mean 2018.

 

Not sure what Q and A dialog you think you saw for the rejection of your state return.  TurboTax sends you an email if your state return is rejected; that email has the rejection code or message.  Check you spam folder to see if that is where it went.  If you did not successfully e-file a federal return you have to print, sign and mail your state return.    If you cannot e-file your state return then mail it in.

When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s.  Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS and/or your state received the return.
