TurboTax does not allow pennies in estimates. Why fool around with pennies in the first place? However, after printing, you can cross out what was printed and enter anything you want. You also have the option of signing up for Direct Pay, where you can have the IRS automatically deduct from your bank account or charge a credit card (fees mnay apply for CC) for the amount specified on the date you specify.
TurboTax generally allows entering only whole numbers for estimated quarterly tax payments. If you try to enter decimals, the software may round to the nearest whole number automatically.
For estimated tax payments:
1. Enter the payment amount as a whole number; cents are usually not required.
2. You can total smaller amounts and enter the rounded total.
If you did not receive an Identity Protection PIN (IP PIN) from the IRS, you can skip entering it in TurboTax by following these steps:
1. Navigate to the Other Tax Situations section.
2. Select Identity Protection PIN.
3. When asked if someone on the return has an IP PIN, select No.
4. Continue with the return without entering a PIN.
If your return is rejected because an IP PIN is required, it means the IRS expects one for your situation. In that case, you may need to retrieve the IP PIN from the IRS before refiling your return
