I can’t figure out why when I am finishing and submitting it says 2021 instead of 2022

I opened turbo tax and spoke with a live representative and I am confused because I am trying to file 2022

Exactly where does it say 2021?    Are you using the Online version or the Desktop program?  You do need to enter your 2021 AGI to verify your efile.

What software are you using?   If you are using the current online program, online is ONLY for 2022.  It is impossible to prepare a 2021 return using the online program.   If you are using the CD/download, go to Forms mode and look at your forms.  Do they say 2021 or do they say 2022?    Where EXACTLY are you seeing "2021?"

If you are using online TurboTax---look at your Form 1040.   It will say 2022 smack dab in the middle of the top of the form.

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the screen. Click on Tools. Click on View Tax Summary. Click on Preview my 1040 on the left side of the screen.
