You have to go to the Dependent and Non-Dependent Information Worksheet and complete the information in Part VII Trump Account Election to populate the child information on Form 4547. You can query Dependent Information Worksheet using the Open Forms menu option to bring up the worksheet.

You can edit the child's information in the dependent section of TurboTax where you initially entered your child's information. This is the information that flows to ‌Form 4547 for the Trump savings accounts.

In the Personal Info section on the screen that says Your Personal Info Summary, click on Edit the right of your dependent's name and review your TurboTax screens to edit your dependent's information.

Children born from 2025–2028 and who are U.S. citizens are eligible for the one-time $1,000 deposit from the U.S Treasury once their Trump account is created.

This doesn’t count toward annual contribution limits. Some children, even those born outside 2025–2028, may qualify for other automatic contributions through private donations.

You will also be able to open an account at trumpaccounts.gov starting in the summer of 2026.

A Form 4547 is used to initiate the "Trump Account", with contributions that will start in July 2026.  The Trump Account is for children under 18 with a valid SSN. The contribution is a $1,000 contribution for children born between Jan 1, 2025, and Dec 31, 2028.
