Online programs are always up to date when you log in.
If you are really using the downloaded version then try a manual update ...
If you are using WIN 10 then uninstalled OS updates can hang up the TT program updates ... install the WIN updates at least 3 times and then reboot the computer. Then try updating the TT program making sure you are using an administrator account, the program is installed on the C drive and that you don't have any removable drives in the USB ports.
If that does not work try a manual update:
To clarify, were you affected by a federally declared disaster in 2021 and did you have a 2021 withdrawal from a retirement account in 2021 due to the disaster and did you report this on your 2021 return using Form 8915-F?
If so and you do not want to wait for TurboTax to update their software for a 2021 disaster you can indicate that you were Not affected by a 2021 disaster. File your 2022 tax return. When the software has been updated you can then amend the 2022 tax return to include the 2021 disaster. A 2022 tax return with a tax refund can be amended at any time on or before April 18, 2026.
Or you can wait for the software to be updated. A 2022 tax return can be e-filed using TurboTax at any time on or before October 16, 2023.
We do not know when the software will be updated and are still waiting on a response from the software developers for when this issue for 2021 and 2022 disasters using Form 8915-F will be corrected.
I am using the online version.
Eventually it will be updated ... at this time of the year updates usually happen on Fridays but you can check everyday until that warning goes away.
