I called Turbo Tax customer service to figure out what version I needed to file 1041 Estate taxes and was advised to purchase Home & Buiness.

From what I can tell there is no 1041 option in the version I have and I dont know how to proceed from here.

Sorry---that was either a misunderstanding or you got incorrect advice.   To prepare a return for an estate you need TurboTax Business.    TT Business runs on a Windows PC.

Oh, no!   Home and Business Edition cannot prepare a Form 1041 estate income tax return.  It is for personal income tax only.   The edition to prepare an estate income tax return is the dedicated Business Edition.

You can get a refund for the Home and Business Edition, unless you need it for your personal income tax return.   Did you purchase it from TurboTax or elsewhere?

No.  You either misunderstood or they told you wrong.   You can enter a K-1 you get from the 1041 Estate return but you can’t prepare it.

You will need Turbo Tax Business for Windows.   It is not available to do online or on a Mac.  And it will not do your personal 1040 return.  You can have both Turbo Tax Business and a personal version (like Home & Business) installed at the same time.  Home & Business is for personal returns that need Schedule C for self employment.
