I bought TurboTax premium online, but it doesn't support attaching documents. Can I convert my purchase to a desktop edition?

You can convert your Online purchase to Desktop following the instructions below and in this help article:

1. Install and/or open your 2025 TurboTax Desktop.
2. If you haven't purchased TurboTax Desktop software, select the product you need to complete your return.
3. Important: If your return includes a state, make sure you also install the corresponding state program(s) in order to proceed.
4. Select Continue From TurboTax Online.
5. Sign in to your Intuit Account.
6. Your data will be imported into TurboTax Desktop, and your return will open once data transfer is complete.

A related question is whether I can get some discount when I purchase the desktop edition. I paid $74 on amazon to buy the online edition. It can not be returned to Amazon but it's not useful now since I need to use the desktop edition to attach a statement.

The Online version is only available through the TurboTax Website.  You don't pay for the Online edition until you complete the return and prepare to file it.  I'm not sure if you originally purchased the Desktop version from Amazon, but it wasn't the Online version.

Yes some stores are selling a code for Online version.

Did you buy a License Code for the Online version or for the Desktop program?  I see that Amazon, Best Buy, Sam’s, Staples and Walmart are now selling a license code for the Online version.

How to Activate the Online License Code.  I believe It is for federal only. State is additional.

Yes this is what I bought ($69 + $5 tax). I got a code to activate the online edition.
