I bought Turbo tax from Costco, downloaded it to my Mac and I am not able to activate it or attach it to my online signed in account, can you please advise?

What is the filename extension of whatever you downloaded? .exe or .dmg or something else.

Additionally, with the desktop version you can't and you don't "attach" it to anything online anywhere. Its "desktop" software, not online software. (Though you will be able to e-file with it if your computer is connected to the internet.)

Then you downloaded the wrong installation file if you have a Mac.  The Mac installation file extension is .dmg

If you bought a CD then both the MAC & WIN installation files are on it ...  get the correct one from the disk. 

If you bought a download then you need to pay attention to the OS before you buy ...
