You are still receiving your original refund amount.  The tax calculator on Turbo Tax resets to zero when you start the amend process.

The amount on your Form 1040-X is additional refund (Please look at Line 22 on Form 1040X).

So, your total refund is your original refund amount plus the amount of refund on Form 1040X,
