I am working on annualizing wages because my 1099 wages were irregular through the year. Why isn't the pre-filled in total for wages correct?

If you are annualizing income, the amount TurboTax filled in may represent wages, interest, dividends, capital gains, etc.  for 2023, divided by 12.

Here's detailed info on Annualized Income to help you.

what do you mean 1099 wages? wages are reported on a w-2 not 1099. 1099  would indicate youwere self-employed or had other non wage income.
