We anticipate the more complex depreciation calculations within the software should be updated after February 13, 2026. These updates should include Special Depreciation carried over from prior years. Our tech team is working hard to release the updates before that date.
thanks .. .that is a long-time to wait given the solution is already there in the Pro version. hopefully it will be sooner.
Hello, thank you for this. You said "should be updated AFTER February 13, 2026" (emphasis added). So are you not committing to updating it by February 13, 2026? Could it be quite some time after February 13, 2026?
In the community, we have no control over this and are simply the messengers. If we get new information, we will make it available but as of right now, this is all we have.
as others have said, just sharing information that we've seen. The best is for all of us to contact TurboTax via phone and push for a sooner fix. Doesn't seem like they monitor the forums very much.
I am having the same issue. I can't file electronically at the moment as I can't take the special depreciation allowance for the current year on a 5 year asset. I have tried every which way. The only way I can e file is to uncheck special depr allowance and just depreciate the asset over 5 years. Hoping this is fixed asap.
This should be fixed as soon as possible
I had a software update, but this has not been fixed. What are others seeing? Why didn't they fix it if they had a software update?
saw the same thing after the update too. if you scroll back it and look at what TurboTax shared they are saying Feb 13th... sigh.
thank you. they are actually saying AFTER february 13, they are not saying BY february 13. so technically they are really not saying much. i hope that what they mean is around february 13. otherwise, it will not be good for all of us.
also over a week ago i called and spent more than two hours with them on the phone. they gave me a case number and said somebody would call me. nobody called me.
This is error is fixed now with today's (2/13/26) Update!
