I am unclear if Intuit mails the actual filings or am I supposed to?

TurboTax does not mail your tax return for you. if you e-filed and it was accepted, you do not have to mail anything. But if you chose to file by mail, YOU have to print, sign and mail the return yourself.

If you chose to have your tax return mailed instead of e-filing then you have to print, sign, date and mail the tax return to the IRS. Include with the mailed return any forms W-2 and 1099 which have taxes withheld.
