If TurboTax states that your state return is saved for later, it can mean the federal return hasn't been accepted, or you need to re-open the state section via the "State Taxes" tab to finalize filing.
Some things to try:
- Try clearing your browser cache/cookies to resolve this. Please click here for instructions on how to clear your cache. Please click here for instructions on clearing your cookies.
- Also, try switching browsers to Firefox or Google Chrome.
- If you are using TurboTax Online Go to the Tax Home screen, choose Add a State (even if already added), and navigate to the State Taxes tab to trigger the filing process again.
- Make sure you have run all updates. If you are using TurboTax Desktop, you can manually check for updates for your TurboTax program by clicking on "Online" in the black bar near the top of your screen and selecting "Check for Updates."
