I am trying to efile my 2021 taxes and at first. I was receiving a failed validation error. I then deleted the application several times and now I am getting error 190.

I paid 80 bucks to include the state but paid another fee to download the state taxes. After that, I removed and redownloaded the application to no avail. What can I do?

E-filing has been permanently closed for 2021 returns since mid-October of 2022.   The only way to file your 2021 return is by mail.   You need to print it, sign and date it on the line that says "Sign here" and mail it in.

When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s.  Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.

Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses.  Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.

After you get the program installed or reinstalled the first thing to do before you open your tax return is to update the program and install any state programs you had. Then open your file. So you first might need to start a fake return to be able to download the state program (go to File-New Tax Return).

Then go to FILE -Open and find your return.

I've done this already a few times and it is not working. I then deleted everything and started back over and I'm receiving the same error. This has been going on for days. Is there a support line I could call?
