I am trying to activate my license code for my 2022 TurboTax and the program is not letting me enter it

I purchased  2022 Turbo Tax fro a download several months ago and installed it.  I THOUGHT I entered the verification code then.  I just updated the program to set started and is it now asking AGAIN for my verification code which I no longer have (or can't locate it). Please advise as to what I can/should do

I purchased the CD 2022 turbo tax and installed it in my computer.  However, I cannot activate it because the license number box is grayed out.  I cannot type it.  What can I do?

There is a curser in the box indicating to type in the number but when I type nothing shows up in the box.

I am retired 18 years now and the question does not appear for activity.  I downloaded the disc and was never asked for my license code.  Then I got sucked into a 3 year contract that didn't account for my purchased one from Costco.  

Now what?

Did you install it?  

I bought the CD from Costco too.  I used the download method instead.   It has more advantages over CD.  Then you can also download it another computer. Once you install the CD you can't install it again like if you need to reinstall the program or install on a different computer.

There should be a card in the CD case on on the CD envelope that says how to download it and you will need the 14 or 16 digit code from it to enter.
