I am separated from my husband (not legally) so I am filing married. he lives in another state. how to i file in my state for my earnings and not his earnings?

i am separated from my husband (not legally) so I am filing married. However, he lives in another state then me. When I file the state return for the state i live in - how to i not show his earnings? I am being hit hard and owe large amount of taxes because of his income
