I am self employed and listed my income, but do I need to list it again in the personal section so that state tax calculates?

the state tax is not calculating based on the information provided. I believe the income needs to be reported in both the self employment and the personal.

No, please do not report your self-employed income in both sections.  All you have to do is report it in the self-employed section. The data will automatically transfer to the state taxes. If you enter it in the personal section, you will essentially will be taxed on your income twice.
