I am running on a Mac, TT 2022; it wants to update. I don't have a "no" option;if I cancel, the program shuts down. Continue, gets stuck extracting. No cancel option.

There is no way to turn off the auto update on a MAC ... your only option is to disconnect from the internet for a while while you work in the program but you will eventually have to connect again to update before you can file and there are a lot of updates all thru January so don't be offline too long.

The auto update on Mac is annoying sometimes.....and sometimes it seems like it is taking forever. Just when I am about ready to bang my head on the desk, it finally goes through.....

No I do not use Mac. I was going to say what Critter said. Disconnect from the internet first.
