If you are not a US Citizen but you are a US Resident then you should file a 1040. There isn't really an elderly tax form, other than if you use the paper form, the print is larger. The 1040SR does not report anything different than the regular 1040. If you are using TurboTax and see the 1040SR as part of your return, you can go ahead and continue to file and finalize your return.
However, if you are a Non Resident Alien, you would need to file the 1040NR which is available through Sprintax.com. TurboTax does not support the 1040NR return.
I am a resident alien, and I'd gladly submitted my taxes; however, TurboTax indicates that Schedule R is missing and only will be made available on March 17. I'd rather not waited for this date, because, I assume, Schedule R is for citizens (which I am not). How can I eliminate this "Elderly" thing and go on?
