I am legally currently going through a divorce that is finalized March 2019. We split up in May/June. Do I file single or married for 2018?

You must file as married since you were still legally married on Dec. 31, 2018. You must file Married Filing Separately or Married Filing Jointly. If you lived apart from your spouse for the entire last 6 months of 2018 and have a qualifying closely related person that you claim as a dependent on your tax return, you may qualify to file as Head of Household.
