I am having trouble adding dependant care credits to this return. A box comes up asking me to choose a name but there are no names listed.

First---before you try to use the dependent and child care credit--have you entered income earned from working? You have to enter that first. If you are filing a joint return you have to enter income from each parent. And if you are self-employed you will not get the credit if you show a loss.

Are the dependents your children under the age of 13? Have you entered any earned income? If self-employment income is your total income greater than your total expenses?
