I am filing taxes for 2016 and 2017 does anyone know how this will work out?

I am late filing my 2016 tax returns I did speak with irs and was told that I can efile my 2016 tax with a licensed tax office and I can also efile my 2017 taxes have anyone did this before? If so how did it work out?? Thanks in advance

You can efile only the current year tax return (2017). The prior year tax returns must be mailed to the IRS. The followingTurboTax FAQ will provide the information necessary to prepare both returns.
