I am filing for my 2018 but on my W2, I am seeing an amount on 2017 adding up to 2018 which makes me owe money (I filed my tax last year just like any other normal year)

I filed my 2017 just as what normal people do when filing. Is this some sort of bug or I really need to include my 2017? I already restarted my application from the start but it keeps the $amount on the 2017 keeps on showing up

Exactly where?  Can you post a screen shot (delete anything too personal).

The section were you need to click "Start" on your W-2. There is a year 2018 on top of that, but mine has a 2017 and there was an $$amount from my 2017. As a result, when I plug my 2018 w2, that 2017 and 2018 adds-up which makes me owe

That just transferred over so you can update it with the new amounts.  It’s not adding it in.  Just to compare and do you don’t forget to enter a W2.  Some people have several W2s.
