Maybe you are waiting for some forms. Click Review to see if you are missing some forms needed in order to e-file.
Many federal and state forms are not yet available. Check here for form availability. The dates are subject to change.
No hurry to e-file since the IRS will not begin to accept/reject 2023 e-files until January 29. And….a state return cannot be accepted until after the IRS accepts your federal return.
Ok ... as you complete the OR interview that credit is brought up automatically ... did you not see this screen ?
I was notified the Oregon forms were ready. So I went ahead and filed. I was notified on Jan 19th that my federal was accepted, and on the 22nd that my state return was accepted. After state was accepted, I reached out to TurboTax Live; they were able to verify the kicker was included in my return calculations.
OK @sandy-manns in the future do NOT file your return until you have reviewed the entire thing ... you are given that chance before you file the return in the FILE tab step 2. If you had reviewed the state return before you filed you could have saved yourself this angst.
Piggybacking here, but I just got through the filing process and never saw this page. I’m using the free option via the app, but I don’t see why this would make a difference.
hm
There is no kicker credit on 2024 tax returns. The kicker credit is issued every 2 years when there is a tax surplus that exceeds the forecast by more than 2%. See Two Percent Kicker history. @Settler
