I am being required to upgrade to Deluxe when I do not have a 1040

I am not being allowed to continue without upgrading, however I do not know why I need to upgrade.

If you are filing a 2018 tax form, you have a 1040. All the other forms are gone under the new tax law.

If you don't want to pay for the upgrade, I suggest you try our Free File Edition. Although the name is similar to Free Edition, it doesn't require upgrades. 

It does have some qualifications:

Make less than $34,000 a year or

Qualify for the Earned Income Credit or

Active military making less than $66,000

There is no upgrade in Free File, only Free Edition. Make sure you click the link above <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://www.taxfreedom.com">www.taxfreedom.com</a>. This will take you to the program you need
