I am an active duty service member and trying to figure out how to properly input our data in Turbo Tax so that she is exempt from state income tax in NC. Anyone know?

In the My Info section, indicate that you both lived in your State of Record and that you are in the Military.

TurboTax will ask if you 'were stationed' in another state.

Your spouse could file a Non-Resident Return, as Married Filing Separately, to report only her North Carolina income and taxes paid.
