I already filed my federal taxes..having issues filing my state taxes. They are finished but there’s no where to make a payment & process it. Is anyone else experiencing?

Although you can e-file your federal and state taxes together, if you choose to e-file your federal first, you'll have to wait until that return has been accepted before you can e-file your state.

If your federal hasn't been accepted, or you printed and mailed it, you won't be able to e-file your state but you can print and mail a paper return.

Why is there no place to enter credit card to pay to exile my state return?  I had to pay federal taxes so I didn’t get a refund to use for payment.  Federal was accepted.  This is a software issue that needs to be fixed NOW.  This will be my last time to use TurboTax.

In the FILE section interview, you should get a screen with 'Three Steps to Filing'.  Click 'Start' and the next page will have your Order Summary, where you can indicate payment by credit/debit card.

At the bottom of the page, click 'Confirm Payment.'  If you're not seeing these screens, close TurboTax, clear your Cache and Cookies and retry.

File an extension if you are still having issues - - are you using TurboTax Desktop or TurboTax Online?

You can e-file your extension through our Easy Extension website.   An extension does not give you extra time to pay your taxes, which are due on April 15, 2026.  Even if you can't pay your taxes by the deadline, file an extension anyway so you can avoid the late-filing penalty.
