I agreed to pay $40 for my simple 1040 and after filing, they charged me $128 for unneeded services. Where do I go to get an $88 refund since their chat won't help?

I would like my fed refund to reflect $1041 ($1081 less the $40 that I agreed to pay) and not $953. I have no idea why this extra $80 was charged and I certainly didn't agree to pay $128 for a very simple 1040 filing.

No one in the user forum can resolve a billing issue.  If you have a question about your TurboTax fees or billing, make sure you use the word “billing” in your request for help.  Do not use the word “refund.”

The $40 would have been only the Pay with Refund fee to have your Turbo Tax fees deducted from your refund.   There is first a fee for federal and a fee for state.   What version did you use?  Was it Deluxe?   Depending on when  you filed Deluxe might have been $40 for federal and 40 for state or more plus sales tax.
