If you do not have a qualifying person as a dependent on your tax return, you are not eligible for HOH.

You need to wait until your return is processed and then you can file an amended return if necessary. You will see an option for this on your home page in TurboTax. If your tax due or refund does not change when you change your filing status, then you don't need to submit the amended return.
