I accidentally did not check the box that says that I can be claimed as someone else's dependent, even though I am my parents' dependent. Therefore, their taxes (which say I am their dependent) were rejected when they efiled. I filed an amended return, and they sent their taxes in paper form (both with explanation letters.) They did not include my amended return in their filing. How long will it take (post-COVID) for my parents to get their return? And what should my parents do now? I am very worried.

your parents just need to wait for the paper return to be processed. Frankly it could take six months, but based on what you stated they did everything they needed to do (and so did you) to clear up the mistake. There is nothing more for your parents to do - other than wait.
