I accidentally clicked on the 1099-DIV page, but I do not have that. I needed the 1098 form page. Now it keeps asking me to review the 1099 part. How do I delete this ?

To delete the 1099-DIV error:

Federal

Your Income and Expenses

Interest and Dividends

Dividends on 1099-DIV

Delete any entry that occurs

Check that it is gone by going back to 1099-DIV and making sure no entry is there.

I have tried clicking on the "GARBAGE CAN" but the entry will not delete. When I click on the can, the screen over the entire page goes a dark gray but nothing happens to the unneeded entry, Is there anything you can offer to correct the situation?

Change you change the amount to zero?   Did you try deleting the other one?
