How To Report Interest Income Received From a Private Individual in TurboTax Deluxe 2025

I received interest income in 2025 from a personal loan (not for a mortgage) made to a family member, for which I did not receive a Form 1099-INT.  The only way I have found so far to report this income in TurboTax Deluxe 2025 is to complete a 1099-INT screen after selecting "Add investments" in the "Wages & Income" section under "Interest and Dividends".  I cannot seem to find a method that doesn't involve creating a 1099-INT in the software.

Does anyone know the proper way to report this kind of income in TurboTax Deluxe 2025?

That's the proper way to report it. Enter it as if you did get a 1099-INT. All you have to enter is the payer's name and the amount of interest.
