How to know if someone stole your identity at a turbotax? Or what are the procedures in step to prevent an employee from doing it to someone?

I'm just a user like you;  but I suppose it's no different than someone doing it at your employer's payroll company, your bank, credit card company, car dealership, utility company, credit bureau, etc.  There are many places your identity can be stolen, including by a family member or ex romantic partner.
