How to get the state efile to download?

It keeps just updating and never allows me to file the state.

Can you clarify, are you trying to download the state in the CD/Download program? or are you not able to transmit the return? Have you already filed the federal?

In order to see if the state taxes were paid, you would need to reach out to your state department of revenue. @h123biggers

E-File is not available because your tax return includes a tax situation that can't be e-filed. Make sure to mail your return by your state's due date.
