How to get out of the Turbo loop.....

I wanted to print my state return, but got an "error" message telling me I had errors in my return, and it asked me if I wanted to continue with the print or fix it.  I chose to return and fix it, but it put me in a loop.   I am still able to print my return, but I don't dare since I was told I have errors.    I am assuming the state return is finished since it was telling me to print it, but I didn't go thru the form as it was preparing.  I guess my Federal carried over and filled in my blanks.  If I print the return and read thru it on my own to try and figure out the errors.....I don't have the tax knowledge to know what's wrong with it.  If I had that knowledge, I wouldn't need Turbotax.   Anyone have a suggestion on what I should do?

Did you go through the screens to prepare your state return?  If you didn't, you should be able to go back to the State section and go through the steps to prepare your state return as not all the information on a state return flows from the Federal return.

If this doesn't solve the issue you are seeing, please reply back with as much detailed information as possible (but no personal information) - this will help us better help you.

Thank you for your help.  But I think I'm ok now.  I'm not sure what it was but I stared at what you wrote and tried to think things through....I did NOT go step by step through the state questions and that's what was bothering me.   I was thinking there had to be something I missed in moving on from Federal.  So I took it slowly again.....and decided to try things a different way.....and it took me through the step by step process which is what I wanted....and what  you were pointing out in your question to me.......  It must have been my mistake from the beginning.  But this time it worked....and when I went to the review steps.....it took me through that which I didn't get before......    So....thank you for making me stop and think.    I can't even explain what it was about your answer that stopped me in my tracks.....but it did. if you hadn't answered, I would have just taken the chance by sending in my return, and I wasn't happy about that.  So thank you, even though neither of us know what it was that you said.  I guess my dumb mind was trying to do what I thought was right....and it wasn't.  Probaby the easiest  help you've given this whole season, right?
