Hello,
I have/will have lived in multiple states in 2022. I have worked remotely all of 2022 and my employer is based out of CA. We have been bouncing around Airbnbs and every time I move, I update my address with my employer.
Since I'm staying short periods of time in each new state, which state do I claim residency in when I file my taxes? Would I also need to file a nonresident state return for MT? Do I need to do anything with WY since I technically will only be there for 1 day in 2022?
State 1 - TN: Jan 2022 - July 2022
State 2 - MT: July 2022- Dec 2022
State 3 - WY: Dec 31st 2022 - Feb 4, 2023
