How to file and send a 1099 to a contractor

I own a business and I need to file/send an independent contractor who preformed work for me a 1099 - how do I do this in the system?

Please follow the steps below to create 1099s:

• Log in and if you see “Take me to my return”, select that and it will take you to welcome screen
• On the Welcome screen you should see “Manage Your Return” section and “Manage Your Account” section.
• Under “Manage Your Return,” you should see “Create W2s and 1099s” (see screenshot)
• Once you select “Create W-2s and 1099s,” another window will pop up and this will be the Quick Employer Forms window.
• This is where you either log in or create an account and then create 1099s.
