I am helping my parents filing taxes for the first time. They both moved to the US from China in Nov. 2025. They become green card holders as they entered the US.
I know they can file 6013h to be treated as resident for the entire year and file tax jointly.
I am using turbotax desktop version, in the personal info section, I can only select one of them as a dual-status spouse to be treated as a resident. This will automatically generate 6013g form.
But I can't figure out how to apply this to both of them to get the 6013h form. My understanding is that 6013h allows both of them to be treated as a US resident for the entire year since both of them are dual-status aliens.
Anyone can help me figure out how to create 6013h in turbotax? Thank you!

TurboTax does not have an option built into the software to handle a 6013h election. Since there is no specific form for this, this is how the IRS recommends how to prepare the return.
3. Print and mail the return. You cannot e‑file a 6013(h) election. The IRS requires a paper filing
You cannot e‑file a 6013(h) election.
4. Your printed paperwork will contain instructions on where to mail the return after preparation.
