Doesn't each of your accounts have a separate login (e.g., username and password)?
yes, we have separate logins, but TurboTax is not giving me the chance to enter his info. I already downloaded mine, and it just automatically goes out and assumes I want mine again.
What kind of 1099? It should be just as easy and faster to manually type it in. And more accurate.
Its multiple 1099s... INT, DIV, B, MISC....i'd prefer to download them
Which version of TurboTax are you using?
Is there no Add Interest Income button for interest or Add Another Broker or Payer button for dividends?
yes, I select that I want to add another. I select that I want to download from the institution. I select the name of the company. The first time, it had me log on to my account, and it downloaded my info. The second time, I never got the chance to log onto HIS account, it automatically went out to my log on and downloaded my account info again.
where is the reply? I have the same problem
I have to tell you, I never got a straight answer. I did end up typing in all my husband's #s manually, which was a PIA. Disappointing!
If you have a single broker for multiple accounts, when selecting to add another account for the same broker: Clear cookies and then search for your broker via the search bar rather than clicking the broker icon. This should allow the screen to input account information and import the data.
