How to cancel a return I didn't finish. I just finished my taxes with TurboTax and an old one popped up I don't need and didn't finish now IRS rejected my finished one

I need to delete unfinished taxes irs rejected my taxes cause there was another u finished.

If the IRS received your first return (the original) then you need to file an amended return on the Form 1040X to make any corrections.

For the second return that you started, once a TurboTax account is created, it cannot be deleted. You can simply abandon it. If you'd like to clear any data that you may have entered into the program, you can use the "Clear and Start Over" feature. 

If the first and original return was rejected, you would just want to fix the rejection error and refile.
