When you amend, will TT tell you just the pages you have to send back?  Or do you have to resend everything back?

The Filing Instructions page will show you what needs to be sent with the amended return, Form 1040-X, if anything.

How to amend taxes on Home and Business Desktop

People who downloaded TurboTax (TTAX) to computer instead of doing it online need to do the following process, instead (amendment start button is in different place). 1) open TTAX and file to amend, 2) save file as "amended filename", 3) close TTAX, 4) open TTAX, 5) scroll to bottom of opening screen and choose grey button labeled "amend a filed return" 6) THEN choose "amended filename" file, not originally filed file. AFTER doing all that, TTAX resets that file and allows you to file 1040X (amendment to originally filed return).  People who don't save filed return with a new name and amend the newly named file (step 2 above) risk creating problems, but it's easy to redo amendments if filed return is copied and that copy is amended, not the original file.
