How soon will I be able to file my taxes

When all of the forms and schedules included with your tax return have been finalized you can e-file the tax return.  Click on the Review tab for the availability dates

The IRS will not be accepting any 2019 tax return until January 27, 2020.  So if you file now your tax return will just be sitting on the TurboTax servers until the IRS starts pulling returns.

I agree.  It's of no real benefit to the filer and can potentially cause a lot of headaches.  People often notice an error after they have submitted, or they may get another W-2, 1099, etc. and can't retrieve the return to make any correction until after the IRS either accepts or rejects the return in late January once they start processing.   If accepted, then an amended return is required to make any correction.
