it would appear that you mother would be your dependent so you can claim her, what's more since she's your parent if you paid over 50% of the parents household expenses (their separate home) or resided with you for more than 6 months in a calendar year and you paid at least 50% of the cost of keeping up yjis household you can file as head of household.
