electronic filing State returns with TurboTax is $24.99.  Fee shows up when you get to the filing steps.   Mail in is free with postage and printing costs.  Federal is free.

For Online versions:

If you are using the Free Edition the state is free (Federal is also free).

- TurboTax Live Basic - state is $34.99

- TurboTax Deluxe & above the state is $44.99

If you use the Desktop software (CD/Download), the software includes one free State program but there is a charge to e-file a state which is $24.99
