look on Line 30 for the credit.... note that your income in 2020  and how much stimulus you received to date MAY impact how much more you are entitled to.

You file a 2020 tax return.  When you add your baby under My Info be sure to pick THE WHOLE YEAR for how long she lived with you.  Not the number of months.

The first Stimulus Check is really based on your 2020 return we are filing in 2021.  So any amount you already got will be reconciled on your 2020 return line 30.  If you didn't get a Stimulus Check (and qualify) or you qualify for more it will be added to your 2020 return.  But the good news is if they paid you too much they won't take it back.

I think the second one will be on your tax return also.  They are still working on updating the program for it.

When you go through the federal review tab it will ask how much you got if any.  Or to enter your stimulus payment in TurboTax, type "stimulus" (without the quotes) in the Search box, then click the link that says "Jump to stimulus."

Just follow the instructions.  The credit will be added on line 30 of form 1040.  However, that section of Turbotax is not up to date yet, try again after January 7.

Make sure you list the child as living with you "all year"-- this is the correct answer for a newborn unless you are divorced or separated and share custody with the other parent.  Also, the child needs a social security number, so you can't file until you have it.  Lastly, the program will ask about other stimulus payments you received, make sure you report them correctly so the additional credit calculates correctly.  The IRS will be sending the second round of payments out through January 15.
