How does Turbotax know if I made timely tax payments when I only had 1099-R income?

I am getting a refund and show no penalty, but I wonder how TT knows I made timely payments throughout the year? There is no interview question asking when the payments were made. I Know with a W2 the withholdings are considered evenly spaced but my income was on a 1099-R.

Your federal income tax withholdings from Form(s) 1099-R (pensions, annuities, IRAs) are generally treated as being evenly spaced throughout the tax year by the IRS, regardless of when the distributions actually occurred. This allows taxpayers to avoid penalties for underpayment, as the IRS treats the tax-withheld amount as being paid in equal installments on the four quarterly due dates.

The reason you aren't being asked you for specific dates is that the IRS applies the "Evenly Spaced" Rule to all federal income tax withholding, including 1099-R withholding.

See: Publication 505

Does that apply to all types of 1099-R's?

I have both  an IRA  which only distributes once a year and Monthly Pension income.

I really thought W2 withholdings were the only ones considered evenly spaced but evidently that is not true?
