What letters do I start with when putting in my license document number?

Assuming that you are asking about New York State, the following link shows you where to find the document numbers:  NY License info .  TurboTax will only ask for the first three characters in the Document Number and specifies not to enter IDUSA, but the first three characters after that.  Some licenses just have Doc #: and you would just enter the first 3 characters after that.

Only put the first three letters of the document number. don't enter the entire document number.
