Your W2 does not have information about when you started employment or when you ended your employment. It only has the totals of your employment for that year. You would have to ask your employer for the dates.

Social Security keeps a work history for you but it might not be completely up to date.

Going forward--keep a record of your own employment history--You need that for completing job applications, unemployment compensation, etc. etc. etc.
