In order to start your return over, you can use the Clear & Start Over feature. This will clear all your entries and return you to the beginning as long as your return has not been registered or paid for.

Before clearing all your entries, have you tried changing your answer in the Health Insurance tab?

  • If you click Federal Tax< Health Insurance, it will take you to the Did you all have health insurance coverage in 2016? screen. There you can choose We all had health insurance coverage all year.
  • You will then be at the Was anyone enrolled in any of these less common plans in 2016? screen.
    • Click Yes if you received Form 1095-A and it will walk you through the questions on the Marketplace;
    • Click No if you received Form 1095-B or 1095-C. If you have form 1095-B or 1095-C, you don't have to complete anything else because the IRS does NOT need any details from this form.

If you still need to start over your TurboTax online return, see link below that explains how to delete your information.
