How do i report tax exempt interest on the tax form?

i need to report tax exempt iterest from municaple bonds?

I know what the form shows my question was reporting it on turbo tax form which asks for states from which the income came. this income is from munipalities and does not show states. some of these index funds have over 1000 different sources.

Ok so you mean tax exempt interest DIVIDENDS ... choose the best option for your situation.

When you see the drop-down menu to indicate what state the income is from, you can choose the last entry on the list "More Than One State"
